The app

Who is it for?

Doctors in private clinics in the Philippines, in any specialty. OB-GYN is the first specialty with its own extra record, for pregnancy. Every other specialty uses the general record. More specialties are planned.

Is Klinic2Go an EMR?

It is an app for your clinic’s patient records, what many doctors call an EMR. Your records, visits, prescriptions, med certs and bills are on your Android tablet, and your secretary works from an Android phone at the desk. It works even with no signal.

For OB-GYNs: how is the due date set?

280 days after the first day of her last period. Once you enter the due date from her ultrasound, the app uses that instead, and it shows which one it used. The record shows her weeks today and her due date every time you open it.

Does it work with no internet?

Yes, even at a clinic with no signal. You can open records, write visits and print with no internet. Your tablets and phones catch up with each other when there is a connection.

Which phones and tablets does it run on?

Android only. Not iPhone or iPad. The doctor uses an Android tablet or phone; the secretary uses an Android phone. As many tablets and phones as you need, the secretary’s phone included.

Can I open my records on a computer?

Klinic2Go is an Android app. Your records live on your tablets and phones, and the secretary uses a phone at the desk.

I see patients in more than one clinic.

One set of records covers all your clinics. Each visit, bill and booking says which clinic it was at.

Can I keep lab results and referral letters?

Yes. Take a photo with the app’s camera and it goes into the patient’s visit, with a caption and the test date. The photo stays in the app, not in your phone’s gallery, and it is kept in the locked backup.

Can I make it fit the way I work?

Yes. Add your own extra details to a record, keep your own price list, add your clinics, and choose which details your secretary’s phone asks for. Your name, license number, PTR and signature go on every print.

What does my secretary see?

Today’s list (who is waiting, who has been seen, who has paid), bookings, and payments, including older balances. You choose which details the secretary’s phone asks for.

How does the secretary’s phone connect?

You pair it once, with your tablet or phone and the secretary’s phone on the same Wi-Fi. No Wi-Fi at the clinic? Turn on your tablet’s hotspot and pair on that. After that it keeps up over the internet.

Will I have to type a lot?

Some, yes. Here is what the app does so you type less. Your secretary types the patient’s details on the phone at the desk. The app remembers your prescription lines, and you can save a set you often give and add it in one tap. Medical certificates fill themselves from the record and the visit. Charges are a tap from your own price list. Lab results and referral letters can be a photo instead of typing. And you can start with new patients only; your old paper records stay as they are.

Do I have to type in my old paper records?

No. You can start with new patients only. Your old paper records can stay as they are. Moving from paper has the rest.

Is the app in Filipino?

The secretary’s phone and the patient’s copy page are in English and Filipino. The doctor’s screens are in English for now.

When will it be on Google Play?

We are not giving a date. Join the early list and we will write to you when it opens.

Prescriptions and papers

What goes on a printed prescription?

Your name, license number and PTR. Set your signature once and it goes on each prescription you save. Medical certificates print the same way.

Can I save the medicines I usually give?

Yes. As you type a medicine, the lines you wrote before come up. Save a set you often give, like your usual prenatal vitamins, and add it in one tap.

Do I write medical certificates from scratch?

No. Medical certificates fill themselves from the patient’s record and the visit, and print with your name, license number and PTR.

Can a patient get a copy on the phone?

If you turn it on in Settings (it starts off), the patient scans a QR on your screen and downloads the prescription as a PDF. The link works for 3 days. You can also send it with your phone’s Share button. The PDF is a copy of the paper you print.

Does it do PhilHealth claims, HMO billing or official receipts?

No, none of these. It also does no stock counting.

Does it suggest diagnoses or check drug interactions?

No. It keeps your records and prints your papers. Every clinical decision is yours.

Price

How much is it?

US$20 a month. The first 10 days are free.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. The first 10 days are free, and Google Play runs the trial.

How many tablets and phones does it cover?

All of yours for US$20 a month, the secretary’s phone included.

How do I pay?

Through Google Play, by card, GCash or the other ways Google Play offers. Google Play shows the price in pesos, and you can cancel any time there.

What happens after the 10 free days, or if I stop paying?

Your records stay yours. You can still open, read and print them. To add new visits again, start paying again.

Privacy and safety

Where are my patients’ records kept?

On your own tablet and phone, and your secretary’s phone. A locked backup goes to your own Google account.

Can MobileBiz Systems read my records?

No. Only your own tablets and phones and your secretary’s phone can open them, and the locked backup opens only by signing in to your Google account. If you turn on the patient’s QR copy, that copy is locked too, and only the patient’s link opens it. The link works for 3 days. The privacy policy has the details.

What does the app do with my Google account?

It keeps the locked backup there and uses Google sign-in to add your own phones and tablets. It can see only its own backup, not your other files. Nothing from your Google account is sold, used for ads, or shared.

What if I leave my tablet on the table?

If your tablet has a screen lock (fingerprint, face, PIN or pattern), the app opens only with it and locks itself after a few minutes out of sight. You can also lock it at once with the lock button at the top of the screen. So set a screen lock on every tablet and phone.

What if I lose my tablet?

If it has a screen lock, the app on it stays locked. If it is a second tablet or a phone, remove it in Settings on your main tablet; it can no longer open your records. If it is your main tablet, your records come back on a new one from the locked backup in your Google account, when you sign in with that Google account. Anyone who can sign in to that account could do the same, so protect it with two-step sign-in. If you lose that Google account and all your tablets and phones, we cannot get your records back.

Who is responsible for the records under the Data Privacy Act?

You are, as with paper records. You are the personal information controller and you give your patients your own privacy notice. MobileBiz Systems acts for you, as a processor. The details are in the privacy policy and in Part 4 of the terms.
